What follows are a series of pictures showing a cast iron gutter refurbishment project. Also some of the project consisted of new replacement cast aluminium gutters, the following pictures shows both parts of the project.

The process for the refurbishment of the iron consists of removing all the old paint and rust by the process of first burning all the paint off then bead blasting down to clean metal. The bare metal is then powder coated using a two part system comprising of a primer coat and then a top (finish) coat. This process is similar to the powder coating processes  on oil rigs and other under sea projects used to protect exposed metal.

Below are some before pictures.

Below shows the cast aluminium (left) and the cast iron (right) side by side for comparison.

Next shows the finished iron gutters.

The final picture show the aluminium connection to the neighbouring property which is the original cast iron.
